Here at NetXL, we’re pleased to have a product range that is continually expanding to include exciting new products. In this article we’ll be running you through our catalogue and some of our best sellers in each category.

Networking: Routers, Switches and Access Points

As our primary area of specialisation, we stock a wide variety of networking hardware and equipment. We are a distributor for Ubiquiti, Draytek and TP-Link products, plus many others. As a result, we have many different brands and product lines available. Routers, wireless access points, mesh point-to-point APs and PoE switches are all available for purchase.

The Ubiquiti UniFi UAP-AC-Lite is aesthetically pleasing, cost-effective and extremely proficient. For your home or small business’ network, the UAP-AC-Lite will make an excellent addition. Capable of delivering 300Mbps of data transfer on the 2.4Ghz frequency band and 867Mbps on the 5GHz band, this unit is more than capable of providing superfast WiFi to even the largest working or living space.

VoIP

If you’re not already familiar with VoIP, the acronym stands for ‘Voice over Internet Protocol’ and is the transmission of voice data across the internet, as opposed to regular phone lines. By modulating the signal and transmitting it digitally across superfast connections, audio quality is much higher than that achieved with traditional phone lines.

Moreover, since VoIP platforms are created programmatically, their feature-sets are rich and diverse, updating voice communication in line with other technological advancements.

VoIP phones come in two distinct flavours: DECT phones and corded VoIP Phones. DECT phones operate via one ‘base station’ serving as the central hub, to which a number of handsets will wirelessly connect.

Corded phones, by contrast, are your standard, traditional desk phone with handset and receiver, but upgraded with VoIP functionality. An ethernet cable, rather than a telephone cable, is used to connect the phone to your network (rather than any in-office PBX telephone switch) and, often, these VoIP phones have their power provided over that same ethernet cable (PoE).

If you’re looking for a recommendation, then the Yealink T41S corded VoIP phone should serve you well. With support for up to six concurrent calls, enhanced audio quality (through its support for the Opus codec) and additional buttons for quick-dial and easy DND toggling, the T41S is an ideal and cost-effective entry-level IP phone for any business.

CCTV

When it comes to protecting your home or business, surveillance cameras may at first seem like a difficult addition.

However, whilst traditional surveillance cameras may have been difficult to manage and to power, IP surveillance cameras can record footage directly to a hard drive connected to your local network and, with PoE, they can be powered and connected to the network with a single cable, making them easier to install.

Plus, with cloud management platforms like Ubiquiti’s UniFi Controller, you can manage and monitor your devices from anywhere with internet access. If you’re already using Ubiquiti’s UniFi equipment for your network, for example, you can monitor and manage all of your UniFi devices from the same management software.

Alongside Ubiquiti IP cameras, we also distribute various Grandstream dome- and bullet-style cameras. The UniFi UVC-G3-BULLET is a customer favourite that will serve you well.

Antennas

A 4G or WiFi antenna can be a truly revolutionary addition to your home or office network, especially if you suffer from a poor data connection or sub-par internet speeds. Trying to operate a business or even a busy household with poor internet speeds can feel like an impossible task, but a capable antenna can ensure that you capture and stabilise what signal you are already receiving, channelling it into something you can use to get the results you’re after.

Poynting antennas are some of the best on the market and, as a Poynting distributor, you can be sure that you’ll receive excellent prices from us.

If you live in a rural area, you’re best going with a directional antenna like the Poynting XPOL-2-5G. For more congested areas like large towns and cities, an omnidirectional antenna is likely to give you better results. The Poynting XPOL-1-5G is a safe option in this case.

Speakers

The newest addition to the NetXL product catalogue, Lithe Audio ceiling speakers operate over either WiFi or BlueTooth to fill the space of your choice with high definition audio. Separating Lithe Audio from the competition is their groundbreaking, elegant design which incorporates an amplifier right into the speaker unit.

This removes the need to purchase a separate amplifier and, as a result, also make the product much easier to install.

There are even IP44 rated speakers for safe use in humid environments like bathrooms and indoor swimming pools, so you can keep the party going no matter what room in the house it takes you to.

For ultimate ease-of-use, the Lithe Audio 6.5” Bluetooth Ceiling Speaker is an all-in-one audio solution with an amplifier built-in, a low latency protocol for maximum enjoyment and is capable of being powered directly from the lighting circuit for easy installation.
