The Shelly EM Gen3 is a smart energy monitor, designed to be retrofitted to accurately monitor pre-existing devices and compact enough to be installed in tightly-packed fuse boxes and small devices. It can measure single-phase systems across two channels and features dry contacts for controlling contactors, as well as embedded connectivity across both WiFi and Bluetooth for easy integration with a wider Shelly network.
Description
The Shelly EM Gen3 is a two-phase energy meter, capable of energy measurements accurate to within 1% and offering both cloud storage and local storage of data. The EM Gen3 can communicate via WiFi without requiring an additional hub and can be quickly and seamlessly included in the wider Shelly network through Bluetooth for quick installation and integration. This EM Gen3 also includes 1 x 50A clamp for measuring channels of up to 50A, and can be integrated in smart schedules or coordinated scenes with a wider network of Shelly devices to monitor energy consumption and turn off non-essential devices once an energy usage threshold has been reached.
Marking an improvement on the previous generation of Shelly energy monitors, the Shelly EM, the Shelly EM Gen3 includes an improved chip designed in-house by Shelly, featuring 8MB memory for smoother and more responsive operation.
