The Seagate Skyhawk ST2000VX017 is a 2TB hard drive, designed to be used as part of an IP surveillance solution. Designed for use with a Network Video Recorder (NVR), the ST2000VX017 offers a reliable storage solution for IP surveillance footage.
Description
The Seagate SkyHawk ST2000VX017 is optimised for use with NVRs such as the UNVR, able to store up to 2TB of surveillance footage. 8+ drive bays are supported, as well as a 256MB cache for speedy operation.
Designed as a successor to the ST2000VX015, the hard drive features a SATA6 interface and can support up to 64 HD cameras as well as delivering zero dropped frames due to its ImagePerfect AI support. This drive also features SMR recording technology as opposed to CMR, offering faster read and write times for data.
Also included is SkyHawk Health Management, a sophisticated suite of data security and reliability protocols that focus on prevention, intervention and recovery. Best-in-class acoustic performance offers virtually silent operation, and the hard-drive also includes built-in error recovery for non-stop streaming.
