DrayTek's URL Reputation filtering is a service that offers intelligent online thread detection using cloud-based technology. URL Reputation can be applied automatically to any device accessing the internet as the software is installed on the network router rather than individual devices like PCs or phones, offering higher security than can generally be installed on individual devices. DrayTek's web filtering offers a sophisticated and customisable blacklist, offers data and packet rules and offers specific categories of data type or web content that can be blocked, making it an adaptable solution for anything from internet control for families and children to preventing staff internet abuse.
Description
DrayTek's Web Content Filtering utilises cloud-based technology that updates every 5 minutes to ensure the most up-to-date reputations for accessed URLs, adding an extra level of security protection to LAN clients. 82 categories in total are included for reputation assessment, ten of which are security focused and block malware from accessing the network.
These categories span a broad range of content including malware, spyware, adware, parental controls, business security and social networking, meaning the flexible and customisable blacklist rules can be applied both in context of family internet security and preventing staff internet abuse.
In addition to black and whitelists, of specific sites, DrayTek's Web Content Filtering can block content by matching keywords, website category, digital content type, IP and HTTPS filtering and network level SafeSearch. Each URL's reputation is informed by a cloud-based server that updates every five minutes, ensuring up-to-date security assessments.
